Each year, Law360 recognizes attorneys who, according to the publication, “distinguished themselves from their peers by securing hard-earned successes in high-stakes litigation, complex global matters and record-breaking deals.” This year, five partners were recognized among Law360’s 2024 MVPs.
David Berl was named a Law360 2024 Life Sciences MVP. As co-chair of the firm’s Patent Litigation practice, David focuses principally in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and energy fields and has served as lead counsel in numerous biotechnology and pharmaceutical patent trials, in appellate proceedings in the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and in inter partes review proceedings before the PTO. He regularly serves as lead counsel to major corporations in significant patent litigations and has tried numerous patent cases that have resulted in verdicts favorable to his clients.
Lisa Blatt was named a 2024 Appellate MVP, an honor she has received four out of the last six years. She has argued 51 cases before the U.S. Supreme Court – more than any other woman in history. Lisa’s industry-influencing victories have helped shape the legal landscape in areas as diverse as trademark, copyright, administrative law, product liability, environmental law, and commercial law. Lisa is chair of the firm’s Supreme Court and Appellate Litigation practice.
Enu Mainigi was named among Law360’s 2024 Banking MVPs. Enu is a nationally recognized trial lawyer with significant expertise in commercial and governmental litigation in the health care and financial services areas. In those areas, among others, Enu has over 25 years of experience defending government investigations, including those involving the False Claims Act. Enu serves as chair of the firm’s False Claims Act and Qui Tam practice and co-chair of its Health Care practice.
Joe Petrosinelli was named among Law360’s 2024 Products Liability MVPs. As co-chair of the firm’s Products Liability practice group, Joe has represented manufacturers and suppliers of chemicals, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, industrial equipment, military hardware and technology, and various other products in litigation and arbitration matters across the United States and internationally.
Ryan Scarborough was also named among Law360’s 2024 Banking MVPs. He frequently litigates against the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, the Federal Reserve, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, the Securities and Exchange Commission, the Department of Justice, and other financial regulatory agencies. Ryan is co-chair of Williams & Connolly’s Directors & Officers practice group.
