Each year, Law360 recognizes attorneys who, according to the publication, “distinguished themselves from their peers by securing hard-earned successes in high-stakes litigation, complex global matters and record-breaking deals.” This year, partners Sarah Harris, Tom Hentoff, and Enu Mainigi were recognized among Law360’s 2021 MVPs.
Sarah Harris represents clients in high-stakes appeals in the U.S. Supreme Court and federal and state appellate courts across the country. She has argued twice before the U.S. Supreme Court, prevailing in both cases, and she has presented many arguments in federal courts of appeals and state appellate courts.* Her cases have covered a wide range of topics, including constitutional law, administrative law, class actions, antitrust, False Claims Act litigation, products liability, commercial litigation, and federal civil procedure. Earlier this year, Chambers USA reported that sources describe Sarah as a “terrific, dynamite writer and appellate advocate" and a “rising star” in appellate law.
Tom Hentoff serves as co-chair of Williams & Connolly’s Trademark and Copyright and First Amendment and Media practice groups. His practice is concentrated in intellectual property disputes, First Amendment and media law, and complex civil litigation. Tom has represented clients in a wide variety of copyright, trademark, trade secret, defamation, privacy, false-advertising, and class action litigation and counseling matters. In Chambers USA’s 2021 edition, observers noted that Tom’s “written product is stellar” and that he “is an excellent problem solver.” Previous editions of Chambers USA reported that sources say: “He is able to understand complex copyright issues and provide creative legal arguments to navigate situations where the law has not caught up with technology.”
Enu Mainigi serves as co-chair of the firm’s Health Care and False Claims Act and Qui Tam practice groups. An accomplished first-chair trial lawyer, Enu has represented a number of leading companies and individuals in complex civil and criminal litigation in state and federal courts throughout the country. Chambers USA reports that she “wins impressive praise from clients,” who describe her as “fantastic, really strategic” and "business-savvy.” One client noted, “She's hands-down the best litigator I've ever met. She has phenomenal strategic vision and great jury presence.”
