Meg Keeley to Speak at ABA’s National Legal Malpractice Conference

March 2025

Partner Meg Keeley will speak at the American Bar Association’s National Legal Malpractice Conference to be held on April 2-4, 2025, in Charlotte, North Carolina.  Meg’s panel, “What to Do When the Government Comes Knocking,” will discuss how to represent an attorney when they are a witness, subject or target of a federal or state criminal investigation.  It will also review the types of crimes that tend to get lawyers in trouble and discuss how to prepare for preindictment proffers to prosecutors, particularly given the real risk that inaccurate attorney or client proffers might result in additional criminal charges for obstruction of justice or making false statements to law enforcement.

Meg is Co-Chair of Williams & Connolly’s Law Firm Defense practice group.  She concentrates her practice on defending lawyers and law firms, and on criminal matters.  She has tried over a dozen cases, including jury trials, court trials, and arbitrations, for corporations, law firms, and individuals throughout the United States.

Williams & Connolly is a proud sponsor of the ABA’s National Legal Malpractice Conference.
