Joe Terry and Nick Gamse to Speak at the 30th Annual Conference of the Forum on Communications Law

Partners Joe Terry and Nick Gamse will speak at the American Bar Association’s (ABA) 30th Annual Conference of the Forum on Communications Law in Austin, Texas, on February 6 - 8, 2025.  The conference features a series of workshops focused on the most pressing issues facing content, communications, entertainment, and media lawyers today.

Joe Terry is Co-Chair of Williams & Connolly’s First Amendment practice group.  He focuses his practice on complex, high-stakes litigation. During his twenty-four year career, Joe has successfully represented media companies, financial services companies, sports figures, public officials, and accounting and law firms in a wide variety of civil and criminal litigation, including trials and arbitrations.  He has represented clients in federal and state trial courts throughout the country and in arguments or briefing before the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the 2nd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 9th, the District of Columbia Circuits, and the U.S. Supreme Court. 

Nick Gamse concentrates his practice in First Amendment and media law, and complex civil litigation.  He has extensive experience in media and entertainment matters.  Nick has represented leading media companies, celebrities, and journalists in disputes spanning a wide variety of issues, including antitrust, breach of contract, defamation, employment, First Amendment and freedom of speech, government investigations, intellectual property, news access and newsgathering, privacy, and theme park disputes.  In addition to an active litigation practice, Nick also provides counseling to media companies and journalists to help identify and address liability issues prior to publication.
