Partner John Villa chaired a two-hour panel on Ethics & Professionalism at the 36th Annual Tulane Corporate Law Institute held on March 7-8, 2024, in New Orleans, Louisiana, as he has done for more than a decade. John’s panel focused on interpreting the professional responsibilities of lawyers representing or opposing business organizations in sophisticated corporate transactions, litigation and/or corporate governance matters. The panelists this year, as in years past, included a Delaware Supreme Court Justice and the general counsel of public companies and private equity companies.
The Tulane Corporate Law Institute is regarded as the premier M&A, corporate and securities law conference in the country. More than 1,000 of the leading securities and M&A lawyers, members of the Delaware judiciary, and federal regulators attended.
John serves as co-chair of the firm’s Financial Services and Banking practice group and focuses his practice on corporate, securities and financial services related litigation, and legal malpractice defense.
