On Thursday, June 9, partner Katherine Turner will speak on a panel at the Accountants’ Liability Conference, hosted by the American Law Institute’s Continuing Legal Education program. The panel presentation, titled Emerging Issues and Their Impact on the U.S. Audit Profession, will address developments in the law related to cross-border liability, the impact of the Holding Foreign Companies Accountable Act, recent SEC and PCAOB pronouncements related to the Ukraine/Russia conflict, and evolving regulatory expectations in the U.K. and Europe concerning the separation of audit and consulting practices of accounting firms. The Accountants’ Liability Conference is an annual event for attorneys and accountants, focused on legal and regulatory developments impacting accounting firms and their professionals. Katherine is co-chair of the firm’s Accountant Liability practice group and a member of the firm’s Executive Committee.
