Partner Lisa Blatt will moderate a panel at the Association of General Counsel conference on May 4, 2023, discussing the Supreme Court’s October 2022 Term and why its work is far from finished. Panelists will review the Court’s noteworthy decisions and preview important cases left to be decided, recap significant oral argument moments, analyze emerging trends in the Justices’ consideration of petitions for certiorari and merits-stage cases, and highlight key petitions the Court has granted to consider next Term. In addition to Lisa, panelists include Noel Francisco, partner at Jones Day and former Solicitor General; Ted Boutrous, partner at Gibson Dunn; and Halimah DeLaine Prado, General Counsel at Google.
Lisa serves as Chair of Williams & Connolly’s Supreme Court and Appellate practice. Lisa has argued 46 cases before the United States Supreme Court. The National Law Journal has called her a "visionary" and one of "the 100 most influential lawyers in America." Bloomberg has described her as a "legendary high court litigator" while The National Journal likewise has referred to her as a "SCOTUS legend." In 2021, The American Lawyer recognized Lisa as the "Litigator of the Year."
