As he has done for more than a decade, partner John Villa will chair the panel on Ethics & Professionalism at the 35th Annual Tulane Corporate Law Institute to be held on March 23-24, 2023, in New Orleans, Louisiana. John’s panel will focus on decisions and practice before Delaware Chancery and Supreme Court, interpreting the professional responsibilities of lawyers representing or opposing business organizations in sophisticated corporate transactions, litigation and/or corporate governance issues. His panelists this year, as in years past, will include a Delaware Supreme Court Justice and the general counsel of four public companies.
The Tulane Corporate Law Institute is widely recognized as one of the premier M&A, corporate and securities law conferences in the country, and has been described by the New York Times as “Davos for the rainmaker set.” It is typically attended by over 600 of the leading securities and M&A lawyers, many members of the Delaware judiciary and federal regulators.
John serves as co-chair of the firm’s Financial Services and Banking practice group and focuses his practice on corporate, securities and financial services related litigation, and legal malpractice defense.
