Partner John McNichols authored “Can You Have Your Cookies And Eat (Or Delete) Them, Too?,” published in the “Best of ABA Sections” feature of GPSolo Magazine by the American Bar Association, in its January/February 2023 issue. The article discusses current legislation, both in the U.S. and the European Union, regarding internet “cookies” and limitations imposed on how companies track and store user information, as well as other technologies advertisers might use to track consumer behavior online.
John focuses his practice in trial litigation, with emphasis in trade secret disputes involving technology companies. John is an Adjunct Professor of Evidence at the Antonin Scalia Law School at George Mason University, and an Associate Editor of Litigation News, where he writes the quarterly column on technology and the law.
