Partners Steve Fuzesi and Gloria Maier spoke as panelists at the American Bar Association’s 28th Annual Conference of the Forum on Communications Law, which brings together a wide range of attorneys and in-house counsel to discuss important issues and recent developments in communications law. Steve’s panel examined recent high profile libel and defamation cases. Gloria’s panel focused on cross-border differences and recent international developments in defamation and privacy laws.
Steve is Co-Chair of the firm’s First Amendment and Media practice group. His practice emphasizes the defense of clients in First Amendment and professional liability litigation. Steve has defended leading news organizations in defamation lawsuits challenging their reporting in print, online, and on television.
Gloria has significant experience representing media and technology clients in high-stakes litigation and investigations. Gloria has defended numerous defamation lawsuits, as well as cases advancing other claims arising from the publication or online display of information.
