On November 16, 2022, partner Jessamyn Berniker will moderate the program “Patent Policy in 2023 and Beyond” at the IAM Connect Patent Policy and Litigation USA 2022 Conference. The two-day virtual conference will explore the legal and political climate for patents in the United States, and Jessamyn’s program will focus specifically on the current state of US patent legislation, the Biden administration’s view on patents and the impact it is having, and the future of the PTAB process and eligibility at the USPTO.
Jessamyn is Co-Chair of the firm’s Patent Litigation practice. She has nearly two decades of experience focused on patent litigation and licensing disputes in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, electronic, mechanical, digital media, and medical device industries. Jessamyn has served as counsel to companies such as AstraZeneca, Pfizer, Merck, Takeda, Roche, Novartis, and Bayer. Her work in the patent litigation space has been recognized by numerous publications including The National Law Journal, Benchmark Litigation, LMG Life Sciences, IAM Patent 1000, and Managing Intellectual Property.
