On May 24, 2022, partner John Villa spoke at the 2022 General Counsel, Compliance and Risk Forum presented by Clyde & Co in London. The panel sessions included topics such as the new world for law firms, including legal, ethical and operational risks; the changing role of the General Counsel; the defense of other non-negligence malpractice claims being made against law firms, including fraud, conspiracy and deceit; the risks of AI for law firms; and reputational management for law firms. The attendees included General Counsels, Managing Partners, Risk Managers and those responsible for professional liability and risks issues at the top 100 law firms and international firms with a presence in London.
John Villa serves as Co-Chair of the firm’s Financial Services and Banking Practice Group. He focuses on corporate, securities and financial services-related litigation (both civil and criminal) and legal malpractice defense.
