Partner Bryan Wilson recently authored the article “Reach of Defend Trade Secrets Act & State Trade Secret Laws,” published by Bloomberg Law. The article explores the extraterritorial application of state trade secrets laws and the Defend Trade Secrets Act (“DTSA”). According to the article, though courts have concluded that the DTSA reaches beyond the United States when the statutory requirements have been met, the reach of state trade secrets laws varies.
Bryan is Co-Chair of the firm’s Unfair Competition, Trade Secrets, and Restrictive Covenants practice group. He tries complex commercial matters throughout the country for both plaintiffs and defendants. Bryan also counsels clients in conflicts and investigations and works to avoid litigation when possible.
