On June 25th, partner Lisa Blatt spoke at the 16th Annual Supreme Court End-of-Term Media Briefing, hosted by the U.S. Chamber Litigation Center. The panel discussed business cases argued during the Court’s 2019 Term and what to watch for next Term. Lisa was joined by co-panelist Paul Clement, partner at Kirkland & Ellis LLP and former Solicitor General of the United States, and moderator Daryl Joseffer, Senior Vice President and Chief Counsel for Appellate Litigation at the U.S. Chamber Litigation Center. The panel has collectively argued over 150 cases in the Supreme Court.
Lisa serves as Chair of Williams & Connolly’s Supreme Court and Appellate Litigation practice. She has argued 40 cases before the United States Supreme Court, prevailing in 36 (2 pending) and has argued more cases than any other woman in history. The National Law Journal has called her a “visionary,” one of “the 100 most influential lawyers in America,” and a “SCOTUS legend.”
