On Thursday, September 20, 2018, John Buckley spoke on a panel entitled “Solutions Without Borders: Transnational Mediation and Arbitration” in Washington, D.C. The half-day symposium was co-organized by American University Washington College of Law Center on International Commercial Arbitration and CPR Institute.
The event discussed the following issues: Risen from the Ashes: Mediating Argentina’s Default Crisis; The Current State of Mediation of Cross Border Disputes: What’s Working and What’s Missing?; Singapore Convention and Corresponding Model Law; and How to Encourage Greater Transnational Use of Mediation and Future of the Practice.
