Victory for Longstanding W&C Asylum Client

December 2024

In December 2024, Williams & Connolly obtained legal permanent resident status for our longstanding client, who was a young girl in 2014 when she was kidnapped by a terrorist group at an all-girls Christian school in Africa. She subsequently escaped but was then targeted by the terrorist group again for rape, torture, or murder. When her home national Government could not assure her safety, she was granted humanitarian parole and brought to the United States. Williams & Connolly then took on her representation, helping her obtain asylum and, most recently, legal permanent resident status.
