Law360 has once again recognized Williams & Connolly Supreme Court and Appellate Litigation chair Lisa Blatt among its Appellate MVPs. According to the publication, these winners represent “an elite group of attorneys who are leaders in their practice areas and have seen extraordinary wins in the past year.” In announcing the award, Law360 highlighted Lisa’s recent Supreme Court wins in Starbucks Corp. v. McKinney and Snyder v. United States. She has argued 52 cases before the court and has an 86% win rate in cases decided.* Lisa will argue her 53rd case in United States v. Miller on December 2, 2024.
During her interview with Law360, Lisa said of her high court wins: “Anytime you get a victory for an individual client, there's just nothing more gratifying as a lawyer.” She also discussed serving as a mentor to Luke McCloud, whom Lisa called “a once-in-a-generation talent.” Luke rejoined Williams & Connolly in August 2024 after serving as Assistant to the Solicitor General at the U.S. Department of Justice.
