Lisa Blatt Discusses Upcoming Supreme Court Term with NPR and Law360

October 2024

Williams & Connolly partner and Supreme Court and Appellate Litigation chair Lisa Blatt recently spoke with NPR and Law360 about the upcoming Supreme Court Term. In the article titled “12 Lawyers Who Are The Future Of The Supreme Court Bar,” Law360 reported that Lisa, “a legendary oral advocate,” is “going strong ... and argued four times in two months during the most recent term, including her 50th argument, a number no other female advocate has reached.” Lisa was also recently quoted by NPR in the article titled, “Guns, transgender rights, porn: The Supreme Court begins another term,” where she briefly discussed the upcoming U.S. Supreme Court term.

During the previous Term, Lisa Blatt argued four cases before the Supreme Court, and this Term she will argue three. Lisa was also named among just six finalists for 2024 “Appellate Attorney of the Year.” Winners will be announced at an awards event at the Fairmont Washington D.C. in Georgetown on October 24.
