The American College of Trial Lawyers has appointed Steve Raber to serve as Chair of the DC State Committee for the College. The announcement was made last week at the 2024 Annual Meeting of the College in Nashville, Tennessee.
Founded in 1950, the College is composed of preeminent members of the Trial Bar from the United States and Canada and is recognized as the leading trial lawyers organization in both countries. Lawyers must have a minimum of 15 years trial experience before they can be considered for Fellowship. Membership can never be more than 1% of the total lawyer population of any state or province.
Steve focuses on trial work, arbitration, and civil litigation all over the United States. He has significant experience as lead trial counsel in a variety of matters, including products liability, real estate, and business disputes. He also defends clients in consumer class action cases. Chambers USA describes Steve as “a preeminent trial lawyer. He is really effective at cross examination.” “He’s very thoughtful and quick on his feet.”
Steve was inducted into the College in 2014. Additional Fellows include Bill McDaniels, Brendan Sullivan, John Buckley, Bruce Genderson, Stephen Urbanczyk, Heidi Hubbard, Dane Butswinkas, Robert Cary, and Ted Bennett.
