Williams & Connolly’s Supreme Court and Appellate Litigation practice was once again named to The National Law Journal’s “Appellate Hot List.” According to the publication, the list features firms that “tackled novel issues and undoubtedly overcame unprecedented challenges over the past year, boasting high-profile and high-stakes wins in the nation’s highest appellate courts across a number of practice areas.”
During the past two Terms, Williams & Connolly was lead counsel in 12 merits cases and argued 11 merits cases—a record for any group in private practice. And this April, practice chair Lisa Blatt became the first woman in history to argue 50 cases before the U.S. Supreme Court. Lisa was also named among just six finalists for “Appellate Attorney of the Year.” Winners will be announced at an awards event at the Fairmont Washington D.C. in Georgetown on October 24.
