Benchmark Litigation has named partners Elise Baumgarten and Josh Podoll to its 2024 “40 & Under List.” The publication highlights achievements of accomplished legal partners who are forty years old or younger. According to Benchmark Litigation, the list was assembled through a process of peer reviews and case examinations.
 
Elise Baumgarten litigates civil and criminal cases, with an emphasis on patent and complex commercial disputes. She has secured multiple trial and appellate victories for her brand pharmaceutical clients over the past three years alone. As part of Elise's patent litigation practice, she has represented clients in Hatch-Waxman litigation, inter partes review proceedings before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), and disputes dealing with the intersection of patent and antitrust law.  
 
Josh Podoll’s practice focuses on complex civil litigation and government investigations. He has represented clients in bench and jury trials in federal and state courts across the country, from Washington State where Josh represented a large healthcare company in a five-month trial against a State Attorney General’s Office to New York City where Josh represented a multinational financial institution in a two-month RMBS trial brought by a bond insurer. In addition to his litigation practice, Josh represents clients from a range of industries in investigations by State Attorneys General and by the United States Government.
