Williams & Connolly partners Elise Baumgarten and Eden Schiffmann have been recognized among this year’s Law360 Rising Stars. After receiving nearly 1,200 nominations, Law360 selected 4-6 honorees from each practice area, all under the age of 40, whose “legal accomplishments transcend their age.”

Elise Baumgarten was named a Law360 2024 Life Sciences Rising Star. Elise litigates civil and criminal cases, with an emphasis on patent and complex commercial disputes. She has secured multiple trial and appellate victories for her brand pharmaceutical clients over the past three years alone. As part of Elise's patent litigation practice, she has represented clients in Hatch-Waxman litigation, inter partes review proceedings before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (“USPTO”), and disputes dealing with the intersection of patent and antitrust law.  

Eden Schiffmann was named a Law360 2024 Rising Star in the White Collar category. Eden’s investigations and criminal defense practice involves representing companies and individuals in a broad range of matters, both public and non-public. He also represents clients in high-stakes civil cases and appeals. He has tried cases before juries, judges, and arbitrators, and his teams have won a series of victories in the U.S. Supreme Court, the federal courts of appeals, and state appellate courts nationwide.
