On April 23, 2024, Williams & Connolly partner Lisa Blatt argued her 50th case before the United States Supreme Court. Lisa is the first woman in history to reach this milestone. Lisa’s 50th argument was on behalf of client Starbucks Corporation in Starbucks Corp. v. McKinney, a case addressing the standard courts should apply to evaluate the National Labor Relations Board’s requests for injunctions under Section 10(j) of the National Labor Relations Act. Her achievement was featured in The National Law Journal’s Supreme Court Brief. Lisa told the Supreme Court Brief: “I may be the first, but I am not going to be the last, and I look forward to many more women joining me.”
