Partner Robert Barnett and associate Emily Alden represented Dr. Anthony Fauci in negotiations with Georgetown University regarding a dual professorship. Dr. Fauci retired from his role at the National Institute of Health in December after 55 years of service – 38 as the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease. Dr. Fauci will join Georgetown University on July 1, 2023 as a distinguished university professor with appointments in the School of Medicine and the McCourt School of Public Policy. “This is a natural extension of my scientific, clinical and public health career,” Dr. Fauci said of his dual professorship in an interview with Georgetown.
