The latest iteration of the Mansfield Rule is a significant diversity and inclusion initiative that raises the bar for law firms. Among a dozen other initiatives that concentrate on the path to leadership, law firms are required to agree to consider at least 30% historically underrepresented lawyers—women, attorneys of color, LGBTQ+ attorneys, and attorneys with disabilities—when promoting individuals to equity partnership positions and leadership positions.
