Partner Luke McCloud was named among The National Law Journal’s 2022 D.C. Rising Stars. According to the publication, the awards recognize the Washington, D.C. region’s 40 most promising lawyers age 40 and under who have proved to be innovators in their field by securing significant victories for clients and have demonstrated a steadfast commitment to pro bono work. Winners will be honored on October 20, 2022 at The National Law Journal Legal Awards in Washington, D.C.

Luke’s practice focuses on complex civil matters, with an emphasis on patent litigation. Luke is also an experienced appellate advocate. He has argued in the U.S. Supreme Court and multiple federal courts of appeals, and has filed dozens of briefs in high-stakes cases throughout the federal system. His appellate oral advocacy was praised by The Recorder as “poised and polished.” Luke has been recognized as a D.C. Rising Star by Law360 (2022). He has also been named a Rising Star—General Commercial Disputes by The Legal 500 (2020-2022) and a Managing IP Rising Star (2020). In addition, Bloomberg Law recognized Luke among their 2022 “40 Under 40” list.
