In its 2022 edition, Chambers USA named Lisa Blatt among five attorneys recognized as “Star Individuals” in Appellate Law, the publication’s highest honor for this category. Chambers reported that clients and peers say that Lisa “does extremely complex, cutting-edge legal work and presents it in the most persuasive way possible” and is “dedicated to her clients and their interests, and throws herself entirely into their cases. She has an incredible knowledge of the Court and uses her extensive experience to assess which arguments to work on.”   

Lisa serves as Chair of Williams & Connolly’s Supreme Court and Appellate Litigation practice. She has argued 42 cases before the United States Supreme Court, prevailing in 37.* In 2021, Lisa was named “Litigator of the Year” by The American Lawyer and a “Top 10 Female Litigator” by Benchmark Litigation. In 2020-2021, Lisa led the practice to five victories before the U.S. Supreme Court. The team’s industry-influencing victories have helped shape the legal landscape in areas as diverse as trademark, product liability, environmental, and commercial law.
