Williams & Connolly’s antitrust practice was shortlisted by Global Competition Review (“GCR”) for “Behavioural Matter of the Year: Americas” and “Matter of the Year” for the firm’s work as lead counsel for Google in the antitrust enforcement actions brought by the U.S. Department of Justice and various State Attorneys General accusing the company of maintaining an illegal monopoly over internet search and search advertising. According to the publication, the Global Competition Review Awards honors the world’s leading antitrust lawyers, economists, enforcers, and academics as well as the biggest cases from 2021.
