On January 27, 2022, the Human Rights Campaign Foundation announced that Williams & Connolly was among the businesses that received a score of 100 on the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s 2022 Corporate Equality Index (“CEI”). The Human Rights Campaign Foundation describes CEI as the nation’s foremost benchmarking survey and report measuring corporate policies and practices related to LGBTQ+ workplace equality. Williams & Connolly’s efforts in satisfying all of the CEI criteria earned a 100 percent ranking and the designation as one of the “Best Places to Work for LGBTQ+ Equality.”
The CEI rates companies on detailed criteria falling under four central pillars:
- Non-discrimination policies across business entities;
- Equitable benefits for LGBTQ+ workers and their families;
- Supporting an inclusive culture; and,
- Corporate social responsibility.
“Williams & Connolly is proud to be recognized as one of the ‘Best Places to Work for LGBTQ+ Equality.’ Our entire firm celebrates this recognition by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation, which exemplifies Williams & Connolly’s core values,” said Malachi Jones, Williams & Connolly’s Chief Diversity Partner and chair of the firm’s Diversity & Inclusion Committee. “Our commitment to diversity and inclusion makes us better able to serve our clients and community.”
