The Washingtonian has selected Williams & Connolly Supreme Court and Appellate Chair Lisa Blatt to its 2019 list of “Most Powerful Women in Washington,” a designation Lisa has received every year the Washingtonian has published the list since 2011. The list recognizes 150 of the D.C. region's most influential women in business, law, government, education, media, nonprofits, and the arts, who "define the agenda and determine the course of action in their enterprises." Lisa has argued 37 cases before the United States Supreme Court, prevailing in 34, more than any other woman in U.S. history. The National Law Journal has called her a "visionary" and one of "the 100 most influential lawyers in America," and referred to her as a “SCOTUS legend.” Lisa’s appellate work has been highlighted by multiple publications and has earned her rankings in Chambers USA, Benchmark Litigation, The Legal 500, and LMG Life Sciences.
