The Minority Corporate Counsel Association (MCCA) has recognized Williams & Connolly partner Ana Reyes as one of its 2018 Rising Stars. MCCA’s annual list of Rising Stars honors diverse lawyers who each “possess the love of law, ambition, and pursuit of excellence, while possessing a compassion for those in need and a strong desire to give back to others.” Ana is one of only five outside counsel the MCCA has recognized this year nationwide. The MCCA has also recognized five Rising Stars who serve as in-house counsel.
The MCCA was founded in 1997 to advance the hiring, retention, and promotion of diverse lawyers in legal departments and the law firms that serve them through publishing, research and training, pipeline initiatives, and networking. The honorees are profiled in the summer issue of the MCCA’s flagship magazine, Diversity & the Bar, and will be honored on October 2nd at the MCAA’s annual Creating Pathways to Diversity Conference.
Ana is a member of the firm’s Executive Committee and the co-chair of its Diversity & Inclusion Committee. She focuses her practice in international business litigation and arbitration. She has handled complex legal matters for foreign government agencies, leading corporations, high-ranking corporate and foreign officials, and international organizations. Ana has devoted a substantial portion of her practice to representing, pro bono, refugees seeking asylum in the United States.
