Partners Robert Barnett and Michael O’Connor represented Nike Founder Phil Knight in negotiations with Netflix over Knight’s bestselling memoir Shoe Dog. The memoir, which was published in April 2016, explores “the risks, the setbacks, the ruthless competition” to create the iconic brand. The Netflix film will be co-produced by Oscar-nominated producer Frank Marshall and Phil Knight. “I look forward to working with my friend, the great Frank Marshall, in bringing my story and the story of Nike to the screen,” Knight said in a statement.
The deal with Netflix was reporter on by Deadline, Variety and The Hollywood Reporter.
