CPR, the International Institute for Conflict Prevention and Resolution, has appointed Partner John Buckley to its Panel of Distinguished Neutrals. CPR describes its panel as a select group of preeminent lawyers, former judges and academics comprising “the most respected and elite mediators and arbitrators in the world.”
John was also named to three specialty panel of arbitrators: the General Commercial Panel for Washington, D.C., the International/Cross Border Disputes Panel, and the Energy, Oil and Gas Panel.
CPR’s website explains that admission to one of its panels “occurs only after an individual is reviewed and approved by CPR and/or a select panel of high-end users, peers and/or academics.” Qualification to the CPR roster “is demanding and available openings are very limited.” CPR’s panelists are widely regarded as the nation’s most distinguished neutrals for the resolution of business disputes.
John is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb) and a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers (FACTL). He is also listed on the arbitrator roster of the International Arbitration Institute of Paris (IAI). John is co-chair of the firm’s International Arbitration Practice Group and has been repeatedly listed in Euromoney’s Guide to the World’s Leading Experts in Commercial Arbitration. He is Clinical Visiting Lecturer at Yale Law School, where he teaches Advocacy in International Arbitration.
