Indira-Josina K. Martell focuses her practice on technological legal strategy and tactical support. Indira works in tandem with trial attorneys and legal technologists to strengthen case strategies and priorities throughout all phases of litigation. Her extensive training and experience support clients’ individual needs by focusing on creating information management efficiencies, cost savings, and risk management solutions.
As part of her technological legal practice, Indira analyzes hardcopy and electronically stored information, creates review workflows, leverages technology-assisted review, manages review teams, and produces/exports electronic deliverables. In providing critical tactical support, Indira navigates layered privilege issues, prepares evidentiary chronologies and fact modules, and designs demonstrative exhibits. Her work spans a diverse range of practice areas including complex commercial disputes, intellectual property rights, white-collar defense and investigations, and pro bono matters.
Indira graduated from Scripps College and received her J.D. from The George Washington University Law School. Before joining Williams & Connolly, she was an associate with Felt Evans in Clinton, New York, where her practice focused on civil litigation, real estate transactions, land use matters, and municipal law.
Indira is on the Board of Trustees of the Sheridan School in Washington, D.C., providing fiduciary oversight, establishing long-range strategic priorities and carefully serving as a steward for its mission.
