Over 30 years at Williams & Connolly, Gerson Zweifach tried antitrust, securities, libel, and complex commercial cases across the United States. From 2012-2019, Gerson served as the General Counsel for two global media companies, first News Corporation, and then 21st Century Fox.  With the sale of Fox’s principal assets to the Walt Disney Company, Gerson returned to the law firm. 

Gerson's litigation practice extended across a wide variety of substantive areas, as both plaintiff’s and defendant’s counsel.  Gerson tried antitrust, securities, libel and commercial cases to juries across the country.

At News Corporation, Gerson managed the company’s defense of threatened prosecutions on both sides of the Atlantic, led an overhaul of the company’s global compliance and governance functions and resolved securities and shareholder litigation on favorable terms. At Fox, Gerson helped guide the company through the sexual harassment charges leveled at Fox News while minimizing disruption to the business.  And, Gerson completed his tenure by helping to steer the company through competitive bids for the Company’s largest European asset and then for the bulk of 21st Century Fox’s assets, as well as through regulatory proceedings around the world, resulting in one of the largest M&A transactions of this decade.
