Though all cases vary and none is predictive, Brian’s experience includes:

  • Securing a preliminary injunction against the Federal Bureau of Prisons in a First Amendment case on behalf of a prison reform advocate;
  • A complete defense verdict in a $30 million legal malpractice case on behalf of an AmLaw 100 law firm;
  • A rare denial of class certification in a securities class action on behalf of an activist investor;
  • Winning attorney’s fees as a discovery sanction against a state plaintiff in multi-district litigation involving antitrust claims against generic pharmaceutical companies;
  • Arguing successfully on appeal for dismissal of several claims in a commercial aircraft dispute; and    
  • Winning reversal of a default judgment against a pro bono client who, at the time of default, was incarcerated, unrepresented, and unable to access the internet.
